Playa Bowls is best known for its variety of delicious bowls and now you can enjoy them in Sea Isle City. Owner Joe Wallash opened his fifth franchise location of Playa Bowls in Sea Isle City over Memorial Day weekend. He owns locations in Stone Harbor, Cherry Hill, Ocean City and Wildwood and now Sea Isle City.
Playa Bowls crafts each menu item using fresh, high quality ingredients. The menu offers a variety of bowls including acai, pitaya, coconut, green, chia, banana, and oatmeal. There are several different styles of smoothies and juices too. Customers have the option to order online and pickup in store or stop by and order at the counter to enjoy at the tables outside.
Having grown up in the area, Wallash has always wanted to open a location in Sea Isle City. He attended St. Joseph's kindergarten in the church basement and continued there for grades 1st through 8th. When the opportunity for this location came available, he knew it was the perfect space for his next Playa Bowls. He has already become involved with the community through his business as well by providing bowls to local hospitals including Shore Medical Center, Cape Regional, Cooper Hospital and more during this pandemic and in working with other local businesses such as Heritage to give out discount cards for those who take a surf lesson. Discount cards and stickers for Playa Bowls can also be obtained when you shop at the Farmers Market on Tuesdays from the Chamber of Commerce table. This August, Playa Bowls will also launch its Golden Spoon Giveaway; customers who are lucky enough to receive a golden spoon with their order will receive a free bowl from Playa Bowls. Playa Bowls is open daily and plans to remain open this fall.
