Sea Isle City local Katie Dalrymple is no stranger behind her lens. Ever since she was in 7th grade, she’s been carrying around her camera to document life as we know it. In 2010, she officially founded her photography business, originally Katie Dalrymple Photography and opened her own store and studio space four years later in 2014. Her business has been evolving and growing ever since.
The storefront opened as “A Beautiful Mess Art Boutique & Studio” combining Katie’s two business ventures, her art business and photography business. The space carried Katie’s artwork, handmade and handcrafted gifts by local artists, and hosted art & paint classes, but over the next few years, her photography business rapidly grew and in 2017, the storefront became primarily “KD Photography Studios.”
With a background in photojournalism, Katie focuses on wedding and lifestyle coverage in a documentary style. She specializes in storytelling and capturing authentic moments for her clients with an artistic edge.
KD Photography Studios is a boutique studio offering clients a seated area where wedding and portrait clients can relax and look through custom designed albums as well as an indoor studio set-up for photos. The company sells matted & framed prints, custom albums, a variety of wall art, and hand-crafted photo shell ornaments. All photo shells can be purchased with scenic images by KD Photography Studio, or you can place a custom order with your own image.
The studio is currently open by appointment only, but you can check out the Facebook page for updated hours as spring approaches.
