Mike’s Seafood Dock Restaurant is a Sea Isle City family tradition established in 1911. The original owners Lodovico and Rosina Monichetti came over to America from Ischia which was off the coast of Naples, Italy. Once they arrived at Ellis Island they took the train south and ended up in Sea Isle City which was then just a small beach town. They bought the land where Mike’s Seafood is today for only $500 and started their Seafood Market. For 110 years, the Monichetti family has been serving the freshest seafood right off the boat and is run by Michael and Jeannie Monichetti. As one of the most popular seafood restaurants and takeout markets in Sea Isle City, customers can choose to dine at the dock restaurant or pick up fresh seafood to take home and cook. From mussels in homemade marinara and Mike's Famous Crab Balls to lobster, pasta and grilled fish, Mike's Seafood has the biggest selection to choose from. It is the only seafood market open year-round. Throughout the winter months, the crew at Mike's spends their time raising money for children with disabilities through the Polar Bear Run/Walk for Autism.
