Easter weekend is here and its time to hop over to Mary Anne Pastry Shoppe, located on 44th Street, for delicious donuts, cinnamon buns, danish and so much more. The business is a third generation family owned and operated pastry shoppe offering original recipes and all of its products are handmade from scratch. Current owner, Matthew Kuttler's grandparents first opened Mary Anne Pastry Shoppe in 1944 in Germantown, PA and his dad Herb, learned the business from him. Herb and his family expanded to open its Sea Isle City location in 1969 where Joy Ann Bakery was located. After spending summers in Sea Isle since 1944 the Kuttler family knew the town would be the perfect location and presented an opportunity to spend more time at the shore. This eventually led to the opening of another location on Third Avenue in Stone Harbor. Mary Anne Pastry Shoppe offers daily specials that compliment your morning cup of coffee. The business encourages customers to take advantage of the refillable coffee mugs, too. This summer Mary Anne Pastry Shoppe will host its annual Give a Dollar, Get a Donut fundraiser in July to benefit the non-profit organization, For Pete's Sake and they are also expecting a visit from the Philly Phanatic. The shoppe will be open weekends beginning Easter Weekend and will open daily beginning Memorial Day weekend.
